Stratford Heritage Exhibition 2026 

The 2026 Stratford Heritage Exhibition is now open - with new content and new artefacts. There is lots to see!
Thursdays to Sundays 10.30-3.30pm until 27 September, at Harvard House, High Street, Stratford-upon-Avon. Visit us and find out about:

  • The Clopton House War Hospital (WW1)
  • Emily MInet, suffragists and other remarkable women
  • Hephzibah Harris and her amazing patchworks
  • Tibor Reich, his fabrics and the shop in Ely Street
  • The Shakespeare Memorial Theatre Fire of 1926
  • 200 Years of the Stratford and Moreton Tramway
  • Stratford's Heritage Lamp Posts and Phone Boxes

Harvard House

From July-September 2025 the Stratford Society, in partnership with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust (SBT) ran a Stratford Heritage Exhibition, providing local people and visitors with a taste of our town’s history. The exhibition included:
  • The opportunity to delve into Stratford's history from early times to the present 
  • Richly illustrated interpretation boards covering aspects of Stratford's history 
  • A specially curated selection of unique objects, from both SBT Collections and those of private collectors
  • Activities to engage children and families
  • Learn about Stratford's canal basins and Harry Cowan's model here
The exhibition was even more successful then we anticipated (!) with:
  • 7,526 visitors over 48 days
  • 528 visitor feedback forms completed
  • Approx. 1,000 entries in our visitor book
  • Overall, feedback was consistently positive and we are currently working on an in-depth analysis of comments received so we can build on last year's success
More fabulous facts
  • We were open Thursday to Sunday each week. The most popular day of the week was Saturday
  • The most popular day overall was Saturday 16 August when we hosted 285 people over five hours
  • The three most popular weeks were (not surprisingly) in August
