Links with other organisations in the Town
The Stratford Society has maintained close links with the leading organisations in the town through joint participation in events and activities over the years. Individual members of the Society also serve on many of the committees that keep the town running.
Stratford Town Council
The Town Council carries on the traditions of the Corporation from the original charter given by King Edward VI in 1553. Councillors represent all the population within the town boundary and organise the annual Shakespeare birthday procession, Stratford in Bloom, and the Christmas Lights.
Stratford District Council
The District Council serves a much larger district with Stratford at its centre. It provides essential services such as planning authority, parking facilities, leisure centres, waste collection, recreational areas and tourist information.
