Repurposing Stratford Town Centre
Building Occupation and Bringing Back To Prominence
James Brookes – Partner, Bromwich Hardy
Monday 19 July, 6pm
Having lived around the Stratford area for most of my life I am hoping to implement creative ideas to regenerate Stratford Town Centre, increase permanent occupation and support retail and leisure options for a more efficient bustling town centre. I have spent a lot of my free time analysing the town centre, and have come up with some strategic plans for a wholesale transformation. I am looking to gather as much support for these ideas as I can.
James Brookes is a Chartered Surveyor and an RICS Registered Valuer, working for consultancy Bromwich Hardy on the outskirts of Coventry. He has won the Estates Gazette Award for the Most Active Agent in the West Midlands Region for three out of the past four years. Projects include the regeneration of Coventry Telegraph Hotel and of Leamington Town Centre South. He is principal advisor to the Historic Coventry Trust, producing buildings that pay for themselves and do not act as a drain on the City.
The video of the presentation may be viewed on the Stratford Society's YouTube channel. In this he showed a virtual 3D walkthrough of the Judith Quiney house on the corner of High Street and Bridge Street. The power of the technique for visualising property can also be seen for the Stratford Herald building in Rother Street. James has provided the following related documents:
