As part of the ongoing investment by Blue Coast Capital to enhance the offer at Bell
Court, we are preparing plans for a potential future re-purposing of the Debenhams
Department Store. With a changing retail outlook, it is most unlikely that the large floor space
occupied by Debenhams would be taken by any other department store or single business. We believe it is prudent and beneficial to put into place detailed contingency
plans for a future reconfiguration of the existing Debenhams building. This will ensure that Bell Court is able to respond to the changing nature of the retail market and continue to deliver a positive contribution to the town centre.
